SAM RAIMI IS REMAKING THE CULT PUPPET NIGHTMARE ‘MAGIC’

Sam Raimi is officially bringing back the legendary 1978 ventriloquist-dummy horror MAGIC the chilling classic that starred Anthony Hopkins as a magician losing control to his sinister dummy, Fats. The remake is now in development at Lionsgate, with Raimi producing alongside horror titan Roy Lee (The Ring, Barbarian, IT). The script is being written by Mark Swift & Damian Shannon, the duo behind Freddy vs. Jason and the Friday the 13th reboot. No director or cast has been announced yet, but early reports suggest the new version will amplify the psychological terror and modernize the story without losing the disturbing tone of the original. A cult classic is coming back and with Raimi on board, fans are expecting something dark, tense, and absolutely unhinged.
