For those who have followed the Chicago Outfit historical series on American News Post - and without any intention of drawing focus away from my current political writing on social media:
The addendums published there are progressive expansions of the narrative I began years earlier. Drawing on family knowledge, documents, and further recollection, they provide greater detail, clarify earlier incomplete points, increase accuracy, and incorporate minor refinements of prior statements.
Frankly, I have grown quite bored with organized-crime content. As one of the first - and likely the very first - to bring intimate, raw organized-crime biographical material to the internet, I have watched the subject become thoroughly saturated. That saturation has only reinforced my loss of interest.
Contemporary American politics is far more rewarding to write about, both as a writer and as a patriot. I have only recently addressed my earlier organized-crime writing because of its relevance to the Democratic Party, particularly in Chicago, where members of my immediate family (now deceased) were deeply intertwined. Featured here is a photo of my father, Armando Fosco Sr. (left), and my step-uncle Romie Nappi (right).
The complete pieces remain available on American News Post for those who wish to examine them. That said, I would much prefer that readers turn to my current political writing, which appears on my social media platforms.
