🧬 Some A.I. applications feel theoretical or far-off. This one is already changing lives.

Every Cure is using A.I. to scan 4,000+ approved drugs and match them to 18,500+ diseases - unlocking hidden treatments for patients with rare conditions who have few or no options.

Their work is saving lives now.

This story centers on Joseph Coates, who was out of options - until an A.I. model developed by Dr. David Fajgenbaum and the Every Cure team identified a life-saving drug combo hiding in plain sight.

Today, he’s in remission.

For our team at Beyond, it has been one of the greatest privileges of our work to support Every Cure - and even more meaningful to have been part of their journey since day one, when they launched on the Clinton Global Initiative stage in 2022.💡

DEI isn’t disappearing - it’s evolving.
As political pressure mounts and legal frameworks shift, law firms must find strategic, compliant, and values-driven ways to advance their commitments to inclusion.

In this Law360 article, Beyond Advisers CEO Scott M. Curran joins industry experts in examining how firms are reframing—not retreating—on DEI.
✅ How law firms can adapt without abandoning core commitments
✅ Why diversity remains a business and legal advantage
✅ The risks of reactive rollbacks versus strategic evolution

As Scott shares in the article, law firms are uniquely positioned to lead, ensuring their DEI efforts align with legal compliance, client needs, and competitive strategy.

🚨 Breakthroughs like this remind us why the work matters.
A simple, inexpensive, repurposed drug is changing lives—giving children with autism, like Mason Connor, a chance at clearer communication and cognitive growth. Leucovorin, a vitamin derivative typically used to reduce chemotherapy side effects, is proving to be a game-changer for a subset of children with autism.

This is the power of Every Cure’s mission: unlocking new treatments hiding in plain sight to save and improve lives.

We are incredibly proud to support David Fajgenbaum and Every Cure in their day-to-day work as they push the boundaries of drug discovery and turn existing medicines into new hope.

Beyond Advisers Weighs In: The Uncertain Path Forward for DEI in Law Firms⚖️

Scott M Curran shares his insights about what law firms should expect on ESG, DEI and wider social impact efforts if the incoming Trump administration and its supporters are empowered to continue - or enhance - their efforts.

"I'm preparing our clients for total disruption in DEI, ESG and social impact overall. We know the Trump Administration and its supporters like Project 2025 have pledged to disrupt the regulatory and enforcement environments," wrote attorney Scott Curran, CEO of social impact and legal consulting firm Beyond Advisers. "They will likely arm Stephen Miller and Ed Blum with rocket fuel for their efforts to rollback progress that's been made to level the playing field for historically marginalized communities."

Read the full article by Jon Campisi in The American Lawyer via the link below or on our blog (link in comments).

"Law firms should talk more about what they're doing," argued diversity consultant Joelle Emerson. "One of the things that makes this so controversial is that people don't know what these programs are."

Beyond Advisers’ perspective featured in Law360 article on the evolving role of law firms in ESG and social impact 🌍⚖️

Here are three key takeaways from Scott M. Curran's contributions to the article:

1️⃣ Deeply Committed Law Firms Persist: Those with a longstanding culture and commitment to social impact work continue to thrive and adapt, having integrated these values long before DEI became a mainstream priority and without regard to what happens to the acronym's use.

2️⃣ Evolving Communication: Many firms have adjusted their approaches and communication around social impact, reflecting both timeless values and contemporary needs. 🔄📢

3️⃣ Susceptibility to Trends: Firms with less deeply ingrained commitments may be more susceptible to changing headlines and external pressures but should continue their efforts and seek assistance from the models others have pioneered. 📰

This is a crucial topic for the legal profession, and we’re grateful to Aebra Coe and for highlighting these issues and insights.

We’re also honored to be included alongside leaders in the law firm Impact and ESG space like Pamela Cone, ISSP-SA, and Shauna C. Bryce, JD! 🌟

This $48.3M funding is an extraordinary milestone for Every Cure, and a MAJOR moment for the future of medicine, science, technology, and saving the lives of 1 in 10 people each of us know and love.

This landmark funding from Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) announced yesterday at The White House will help Every Cure and its partners identify the true potential of every single one of the 3,000 FDA-approved medicines to treat every human disease possible.

And this is just the beginning of the next phase of Every Cure's extraordinary growth. Our team is Beyond proud to work with David Fajgenbaum, Tracey Sikora, Grant W Mitchell, MD, MBA and the rest of the Every Cure team and to see their mission to save every life possible.

THIS is ! Congratulations to Every Cure!

ARPA-H contract will supercharge Every Cure’s work to identify existing medicines that can be repurposed to treat currently untreated diseases.
