Knobcon 14

There’s something special about being in a room full of people who are just as obsessed with synthesizers, sound, and music technology as you are. Makers, artists, designers, and friends sharing ideas they’ve spent months or years working on. That’s what I enjoy most about it.

This year I went in with a little plan of my own. I wanted to stop at as many booths as I could, ask a few questions about what they were showing and what they were working on next, take some photos and videos, and share some of those conversations here.

But to be honest, my day didn’t really go the way I planned.

I carried way too much stuff with me, a lot of which I didn’t even need, and then at some point I realized I had lost my camera lens cap.

That’s pretty much where things started going wrong for me.

I got distracted, lost time, and ended up missing a few booths I really wanted to stop at. Some of them were friends too, and that part honestly bothered me the most.

By the end of the day I was pretty disappointed in myself because I knew I had tried to do too much at once.

Then the next day I found out my friends at ALM had found my lens cap and kept it safe for me. ❤️🙏

Definitely a lesson learned.

Next year I’m going lighter, keeping things simple, and attending both days so I can actually take my time, talk to more people, and cover everything properly.

I still managed to stop at a few booths, take some photos, and record a few short conversations that I’ll be sharing soon.

And to the friends I missed this year, I owe you a proper stop next time. ❤️

Amsterdam Dance Event, see you soon! 😍

Excited to be attending the 30th edition of Amsterdam Dance Event and my first ADE.

I’ll be in Amsterdam looking to connect with promoters, booking teams, agencies, artists, producers, and people across the industry, building genuine relationships, exploring collaborations, and creating future opportunities in Europe.

I’m looking forward to catching up with friends, meeting new people, and being part of the week.

Sequentia - Everything at Your Fingertips.

I’ve never come across a fully functional, advanced iPad sequencer quite like Sequentia. With the latest iPadOS, it opens up so many possibilities while keeping the entire workflow within my hardware setup.

The way it’s built around RACK, SCENES and JAM makes complete sense to my brain. It feels less like another MIDI sequencer and much closer to a full DAW experience. Build your setup, create and arrange ideas, then perform and improvise from one place.

One of the things that really stands out is the hardware integration. Instruments from pretty much all the major manufacturers are already mapped, with preset browsing built directly into the app. The drum sequencing goes deep too. Drum rolls, fills, variations, and even the ability to bring in fills on the last bar.

There’s also a History Browser, so you can move back and forth through your changes. That gives you the freedom to experiment without losing where you were.

What really clicked for me is this: the more you understand music theory and know your hardware instruments, the more powerful Sequentia becomes. It doesn’t take that knowledge out of the process it puts everything right at your fingertips.

And a huge shout out to the behind Sequentia, who has spent years bringing this idea to life. This is what happens when the person building the tool is also a serious musician and producer it comes from actually working with hardware, playing live, improvising, and understanding what has been missing from that workflow for years.

This is my second jam with Sequentia, and if you’ve been looking for a seriously advanced sequencer for your hardware setup, I’d definitely encourage you to check it out and dig into it yourself.

I don’t think you’ll find anything quite like this. ☺️
