From 2016 to 2026, this story looks tidy on paper. In real life, it was anything but.
It was side hustling before that had a name. Pitching myself before anyone was listening. Rebranding out of fear, pivoting out of instinct, and saying yes to things that didn’t always come with a roadmap. It was building during nap times, after bedtime, on weekends, and in seasons where confidence was thin and the future felt fuzzy.
There were big moments, sure. Partnerships, TV segments, launches, milestones that look impressive in hindsight. But what shaped this most were the quiet ones. The unanswered emails. The awkward starts. The decisions no one clapped for. The moments where it felt lonely, confusing, or like everyone else had it figured out faster.
If you’re in the middle right now, wondering if you’re doing it “right,” this is your reminder that most of building something meaningful happens in the spaces no one sees. It’s hard. It can feel isolating. But you’re not alone, even when it feels that way.
Keep going. The in-between matters more than you think.
