June is PTSD awareness month. Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), is a severe disorder brought on by psychologically traumatic events witnessed or experienced. The condition can last for a few months or for the rest of the individual’s life.

The traumatic events most often associated with PTSD: childhood neglect, physical attack, combat exposure, being threatened with a weapon, sexual abuse, and ANY form of violence, just give name a few
