United Airlines Flight 175 Crashes Into the South Tower

As United Airlines Flight 175 struck the South Tower of the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11, 2001, photojournalist David Handschuh was on a downtown Manhattan street corner, capturing the unimaginable through his lens.

In an instant, the entire 110-story tower began to collapse before his eyes. The force of the falling building blew him off his feet, burying him beneath shards of glass, concrete, and a massive steel beam. Handschuh, then working for the New York Daily News, suffered a shattered leg, severe injuries to the other, and could barely breathe through the thick, choking dust.

Trapped and unable to move, he mustered the strength to cry out for help, capturing not just a historic photograph—but also living through a moment of raw human survival amidst chaos.

Good evening dullsters. While in the shower today I realised I have had the same blades in my razor for at least 5 years, possibly as many as 8. It gets used about once a week for my legs, and it still gives me a perfectly smooth shave. Added bonus is that I can be as rough as I like safe in the knowledge it won't cut me. After all this time I would probably do myself some serious damage if I got new blades.

Yes, it has a small amount of rust, so I'm probably slowly poisioning myself, but I've never been anaemic either so....

But it does the job and I hope I have many more happy years without having to spend a stupid amount of money on new blades.

It got me wondering whether anyone else is still using something which is well past it's usual acceptable life span. "If it ain't broke don't fix it" type thing.

F53, UK7, cucumber for scale (if only cucumbers had some sort of skin to naturally protect them so we didn't have to wrap them in plastic...wait.... 😕)
