This year, Noisefloor is contributing to the post-sound division of the filmmaking package to be awarded to the winner of CIX: Lab’s “The Pitch,” who will receive an in-kind award that has the potential cover ALL of post-sound for their winning film pitch - sound design, SFX editing, Foley, music composition, mixing, and post-sound supervision! 🔊🎼

The short film takes a turn when Jana gets her period during the festival of Navaratri, and a boozy accident thwarts her plans to abide by traditional Hindu customs.

Maari and Natalia have been tremendous assets in the studio, and we couldn’t be more thankful for their positivity, kindness, and work ethic over the summer!

MAARI THIRUMURUGAN () graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Film & Television with a minor in Animation.

“As a Chicago Ta**us, I take food and cooking pretty seriously. A unique skill I have is that I love finding and making the perfect drink for my friends. In my free time I enjoy dancing and South Indian martial arts! I’m a huge history nerd too!”

NATALIA LANDRON () graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Cinema & Television Arts.

Our impressive post-sound women brought a poignant realism to the short film’s raw and intimate portrait of a couple in their 40s facing an unplanned pregnancy.
