An Evening with Award Winning International jazz pianist Jorge Luis Pacheco & Trio, "Live from Havana", a jazz tribute to Buena Vista Social Club b on September 17th at 8:30pm at Epiphany Center for the Arts. Jorge Luis Pacheco, winner of the 2014 Montreux Jazz Festival Piano Solo Competition, Cuba’s International Contest for Young Jazz Musicians (Jo Jazz Festival) in 2007, the 2013 Best Jazz Project Award and listed in Vanity Fair’s article “The Jazz Youth-Quake." Jorge has collaborated with other jazz greats, Marsalis , Arturo O'Farrill & the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra , Thee Lenny White , Issac Delgado , Miguel Zenón, and Dave Weckl .

The 2025 Chicago Jazz Festival continued on Friday August 29 with performances at The Jay Pritzker Pavilion, the Von Freeman Pavilion and the WDCB Listener-Supported Jazz & Blues Lounge. Sarah Marie Young , Silvia Manrique , Marcel Bonfim, Patricia Barber Jazz Musician and Monty Alexander performed on the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Other artists who performed were Elaine Dame , The Regulators, La Cantera, Daniel Diaz, Alexander Lopez, Marques Carroll, Alyssa Allgood , JoAnn Daugherty , Dakarai Barclay and Isaiah Spencer.

The 2025 Chicago Jazz Festival kicked off Thursday August 28 with performances at Preston Bradley Hall and Claudia Cassidy Theater in the Chicago Cultural Center and continued at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion with Henry Johnson and Spalding . Other artists who performed were the Hana Fujisaki Trio, John Skillman 's New Normal Jazz Band, Big Bari Band, The STOMACHS Quartet, The Young Masters Quartet directed by Ernest Dawkins , Greg Fundis Quintet, and the Charles Heath Quartet.
