🙇🏼 Owning a business is HARD. If it was easy, there’d be a lot more creatives doing it instead of being “full-time freelancers”. There’s a massive difference between freelancing and owning a business. For me, the focus is on building a team and building systems to scale and grow the business. 3 years ago, if I wasn’t the one at the shoot the client would’ve been shocked! 😳 Today, they expect my team to be on-site and know they will get the same quality as if I was there...and when I do roll out to a shoot, you know I come with all the extra angles and creative direction 😤 By doing this I can tackle the bigger priorities in my company while my amazing team helps plan, shoot, and edit. It’s all about building your TEAM. It’s my business partners and who build out insane sales funnels and libraries of drone footage for our clients that makes this company unstoppable. It’s who runs our sales team and is relentlessly finding new business. It’s our travel pilot who’s headed to Texas next week to shoot FPV! It’s bad ass editors like and who have edited hundreds of videos! It’s running the social media and interacting with our clients. At the end of the day...it boils down to this...if you stopped working tomorrow...could someone step into your shoes and run the business? For me, it’s a 90% YES. I’ve built a business that can grow and scale with a team that I cherish. But I ain’t going anywhere cause I love this creative journey ❤️ 🎬 PC:

Southside Sunsets. We’ve gotten beautiful sunsets all summer long here in Chicago. It feels like in the midst of all the chaos the world is in, nature has been putting on a little reminder that there’s positivity and humanity all around us. 🙏🏻

What. Just. Happened. 🤯 I went to my rooftop immediately after the rain stopped and saw the double rainbow happening so I had to launch the drone up. The rainbow line up right through for maybe 2-3 minutes. The craziest thing about rainbows is they shift every single minute. We’ve had some wild conditions this Summer here in the city!

🚁 Wayyyyyyyy up! Found this old gem from the time and I took a doors off helicopter ride over Chicago. Aerial photography can be tricky, there’s way more movement than you think with the vibration of the helicopter or plane. Set it to a higher shutter and let it rip! I’d recommend somewhere around 1/250 or above!
