Celebrating 60 years of Gino's East with their signature deep dish, that famous cheese pull, golden crust, and of course, leaving my mark on those iconic graffiti-covered walls. And while you’re there, don’t sleep on the spinach mozzarella sticks, wings, and that brownie skillet. Such a fun reminder of why Gino’s East has been part of Chicago for six decades.

🐔🥬🤌🏼 understood the assignment with this one! Their NEW Chicken Caesar Wrap just hit the menu and it’s exactly the kind of lunch I’d keep coming back for. Crispy chicken, Caesar salad, plenty of Parmesan and creamy dressing all wrapped up together. Simple combo, but SO satisfying. Chicken Caesar lovers, put this one on your list.

🙌🏼🍣✨Sushi lovers, this incredible dinner has 10 seats per seating. ’s Bluefin Tuna Experience happens every Wednesday, and it’s one of the most memorable sushi dinners I’ve had in Chicago.

Here’s what you need to know:
• Every Wednesday at Miru
• Two seatings: 5:30 PM + 8 PM
• Only 10 seats per seating
• $165 per person + tax & gratuity
• Reservations open 42 days in advance at 9 AM
• Optional w**e and sake pairings
• They’re unable to accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions

You’ll taste Bluefin from lean to fatty cuts throughout the multi-course dinner and yes, you get to scrape the tuna right off the bone and make your own hand roll. Come hungry. It’s a LOT of food, and you’ll finish with Calamansi Crème Brûlée. SAVE this for your next Chicago sushi night.

🙌🏼🍕😋I’ll always have a soft spot for this pizza. The 8 Corner is still my go-to. It’s crispy, cheesy edges on every piece, with that chewy Detroit-style crust. Their dough is made fresh in-store daily, and you can really appreciate that texture. This time I also tried the bacon jalapeño Jet’s Bread with hot honey and it was low-key addictive. And if you already love Jet’s ranch, you need to try the new Cajun Ranch. Same creamy ranch with a little extra kick, and I’m here for it. Pizza, wings, Jet’s Bread + plenty of ranch = my kind of game-day spread.

🥐✨🥖Come for the giant croissants, stay for literally everything else. is one of my favorite new bakery finds in Chicago. As a pastry chef, I’m always paying attention to the little things such as the technique, texture, balance and this place gets so much right. Definitely get the pain suisse and brioche loaf, and whatever you do, don’t leave without a baguette. Save this one for your next Chicago bakery run.
