Here is a photo of the side of a McDonald's building. There's a short door that clearly (from the hinges) opens outward. They cemented a bike stand in front of it. There's no way you could open said door more than about 14 inches. Was this bad planning, or does this door never need to be opened more than a few inches? Every time I see it I wonder about it.
I've wondered why it's set so high, what's behind it, and why is the bike stand blocking it?🤔🤔

We closed on this 1890s Victorian three weeks ago and I've been standing in this hallway every morning with paint swatches in one hand and my coffee in the other, completely paralyzed. My husband wants to rip down all the wallpaper, paint everything bright white, make it feel modern and clean, but I keep thinking about the family who chose these patterns, who walked these stairs for over a century, whose fingerprints are probably still embedded in the woodwork. I posted photos in a historic homes group on the Tedooo app and got forty responses in an hour, half saying "honor the history" and half saying "it's your house now, make it yours," which honestly made the decision even harder. Our daughter says the floral wallpaper gives her nightmares but I find myself tracing the patterns at night, imagining the woman who hung it, wondering if she loved it or if she was also just trying to make a house feel like home. We have the painter coming Monday and I still haven't decided, keep changing my mind every few hours, and my husband is losing his patience but this feels like more than just wallpaper, it feels like choosing between respecting the past and claiming our future, and I don't know how to do both.....❤️❤️

You probably see an old man sitting next to a big deer he just harvested.

I dont. I see 2 old legends in this photo. That deer has lived a long life, probably talked about by every hunter in those woods.

As for the older gentleman, I see a man who has probably been hunting since he was a kid, maybe hunting with his father and grandfather since then. The look on his face says he just shot the biggest buck of his life. I bet he wishes his father, grandfather, or whoever he hunted with back then, that may no longer be here, could be with him in that moment to share this memory with. Im sure he's killed many bucks in his life and a ton of great stories to share.

Hunters like us are moved by pictures like these. Its pictures like this that show me why I cherish every moment in the woods with my family. Because one day, I'll be in the old mans position and some of my family will only be with me in spirit.
