The sign at the drive-through order board today told me this location is cashless. Cards only. No cash. No exceptions.

And then it said if you do not have a card please pull forward and we will explain your options.

I want to think about what those options are. The sign has already said no cash and no exceptions. So the options are presumably not cash-related. You cannot pay with cash because cash is not accepted. The sign was very clear about this. So what are they explaining.

The most likely options are that there is an ATM nearby, or that they can process a mobile payment of some kind, or that the employee at the window will offer sympathy and suggest a different restaurant.

But saying pull forward and we will explain your options after stating there are no exceptions creates an expectation of flexibility that the first part of the sign has explicitly denied. You cannot say no exceptions and then say we have options in the same sign. The sign is contradicting itself.

I have a card. This did not affect me. But I thought about the person in line behind me who only has cash and is now being told to pull forward for an explanation of options that may not include any options. That person's day is about to take a turn...,,,,

Every discussion about inadequate worker compensation seems to culminate in the customer being asked to bridge the gap. This can manifest in various forms, such as requests to increase tips, donate more, round up the total, pay additional fees, or contribute extra amounts. When customers hesitate, they're often made to feel as though they're the ones responsible for the issue. However, the reality is that most individuals aren't opposed to supporting workers; rather, they want to be generous when feasible and appreciate good service. There's a significant distinction between electing to give extra and feeling obligated to do so. Recently, it appears that every transaction is accompanied by a request for a tip, donation, service charge, or reminder to contribute beyond the advertised price. Prolonged exposure to these prompts can leave individuals feeling less valued and more pressurized. Notably, customers aren't flush with disposable income, as the cost of groceries, rent, utilities, insurance, and other essentials has increased. Everyone is feeling the strain in some way. Consequently, when people resist, it's not necessarily because they don't care or wish to contribute; sometimes it's because they feel they're being held accountable for a problem they didn't create. Perhaps the issue lies not with customer generosity but rather with the systemic reliance on extra payments to supplement worker incomes. Am I alone in this perspective?? 🗯🗯

My order somehow got delivered to the wrong house.
I know this because the delivery photo sent to me was very clearly NOT my house. 😂
I made a post on Facebook, and our Sheriff saw it and on his own time actually tried tracking down my missing order.
Now tell me... where else does a Sheriff help investigate an $18 order? 🤣
Well, never found and I was refunded.
The funniest part?
The order was nothing exciting — just paper plates and some dark brown root touch-up for my hair.
So whoever accidentally got it, I hope you have dark brown hair! 😂😂
Nick, moments like these remind me why I love small-town living.

McDonald’s is reportedly testing a $1 extra charge for drive-thru orders in select cities to encourage customers to come inside and eat. The goal is to clear up long drive-thru lines and improve wait times, but it makes you wonder...

Is charging extra for the drive-thru actually going to solve anything, or will it just alienate customers and drive them straight to the competition? For most people, the drive-thru isn’t a luxury—it’s the entire point of choosing fast food.

I never usually do this but some broke boy was tryin to buy a hot dog and a Monster this mornin but only had a baggie full of nickles and pennies. It tugged at my heart strings and reminded me of when I had to buy food with rolled up coins,cause my mom would sell our damn food stamps.

I told the little dude to keep his money and just marked the items as stolen in the system. No kid will never go hungry on my watch...,,,,

I was backing into a parking spot and suddenly this giant metal hitch appeared behind me out of nowhere. Apparently it was attached to a parked truck the whole time, but honestly if you’re gonna leave a medieval weapon sticking out into public space then that’s kind of on you.

I get out and there’s this tiny little mark on my bumper while the truck looks completely fine. Now the truck owner is standing there acting like I committed a felony because I tapped his precious tow hitch at approximately 2 miles per hour. Meanwhile I’m the real victim because my car absorbed all the emotional damage.

Then he starts explaining that tow hitches are made of solid steel and that’s why my bumper lost the fight. Okay? And whose fault is it that he equipped his vehicle with boss battle armor? My Corolla signed up for a parking spot, not hand to hand combat.

The craziest part is everyone keeps saying this is a lesson to pay attention while reversing. No. The lesson is that trucks shouldn’t be carrying hidden critical hit points on the back. If your vehicle can one shot my bumper without taking damage, it should have a warning label and a health bar. Now they’re expecting ME to pay for my own repairs after I was clearly ambushed. Make it make sense, bestie....,,,,

Just ran into the Clearwater Walmart for an hour, and I come out to find some guy straight-up sleeping in his car in the middle of the parking lot. Since when did Walmart become a campground? Some of us are trying to enjoy our vacation, not navigate around someone treating a busy parking lot like their personal bedroom. This is exactly the kind of nonsense that gives Florida a bad rap. I took my kids out to eat, and within a few minutes I was already wondering why we came here. 😭

Our waitress walked up wearing a tight black top and bright white shorts that looked more like workout clothes than something you’d expect on the restaurant floor. Maybe some people don’t think twice about it, but when you’re sitting there with your family trying to enjoy dinner, it definitely stands out.

I’m not trying to be rude, but there really should be a difference between gym wear and a restaurant uniform. Am I overreacting, or does this feel a little too casual for serving tables?? 🗯🗯👀👀

To the genius who thought it was a good idea to anchor their mailbox with enough concrete to survive a tornado, I hope you’re ready for a phone call. 😭📬💀
From a distance, it looked like a normal mailbox sitting near the edge of the road.
Nothing unusual.
Nothing that screamed “indestructible fortress.”
So when I accidentally clipped it while trying to avoid a car coming the other way, I expected the mailbox to snap off or at least give a little.
Nope.
It felt like I hit a bridge support.
The mailbox didn’t move.
At all.
Meanwhile my truck?
Front fender crushed.
Mirror destroyed.
Door scraped from front to back.
Thousands of dollars in damage because apparently this thing was reinforced like a military bunker.
And before people start saying:
“You shouldn’t have hit the mailbox.”
Trust me.
I know.
That’s not the point.
The point is that some of these roadside setups are built so aggressively that they become hazards themselves.
A mailbox should not have the structural integrity of a small office building. 😭
Now I’m left dealing with insurance, repair estimates, and explaining how a mailbox somehow won a fight against a full-size vehicle.
At this point I’m honestly curious:
If a mailbox is built strong enough to cause major vehicle damage, should the homeowner be responsible…
or is it entirely on the driver no matter what?? 🗯🤔💭
