Charles gives us a peak at his music notebook machinations, including an arrangement of Duke Ellington’s “Satin Doll” and a lead sheet for “Baby Got Back”. Also Charles reveals his favorite snack, favorite video game, and gives an off the cuff rendition of Sexual Healing by “Marvin Gaye”! Oh and Charles plays one of his musical apparatuses built of found percussion objects—maybe you can help him come up with a name for it?

Lyn Rye cover's Chaka Khan's "So Sweet" and brings viewers into their bedroom to open up conversation about the practice of musicianship and the struggles of the pandemic.

Lyn also tell us about the unique community oriented space they live in Casa Al-Fatiha, a sanctuary home for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and people released from detention. This episode is so warm, with the light sound of a drummer in the basement coming through the mic, speaking to the fullness of life at Casa Al-Fatiha.
