Chicago Review Press is an independent publishing company founded in 1973. Over the years we have grown into a dynamic midsize publisher with more than 900 titles in print. We currently publish around 60 new annually under five imprints: Chicago Review Press, Lawrence Hill Books, Ball Publishing, Zephyr Press, and Academy Chicago. Chicago Review Press publishes general nonfiction on a wide range o

f subjects including music, film, popular science, history, biography, and travel, as well as an award-winning line of children’s activity books. Lawrence Hill Books publishes nonfiction on topics of African American interest, progressive politics, Middle Eastern studies, and feminism.
