Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with this creamy Lobster Macaroni and Cheese! 🦞🧀✨ Perfect for special occasions or cozy nights in.
Ingredients:
- 8 oz elbow macaroni (or cavatappi)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1 lb cooked lobster meat (chopped into bite-sized pieces)
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish to keep everything from sticking.
2. Cook the pasta in a pot of salted boiling water until it's al dente, then drain and set aside. We want that perfect bite!
3. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour to create a roux, and then slowly add the milk, stirring until the mixture thickens and is smooth.
4. Stir in the Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if you're feeling spicy! Then, mix in the shredded sharp cheddar and Gruyère cheeses until everything is creamy and melted together.
5. Gently fold the cooked pasta and chopped lobster into the cheese sauce, making sure every piece is coated in cheesy goodness.
6. Pour the mixture into your greased baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, and grated Parmesan cheese, then sprinkle this crunchy topping generously over the pasta.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy. Once it’s out of the oven, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for that pop of color and flavor!
Serve this delightful dish and prepare for compliments! Enjoy every creamy, buttery bite.
