Submissions are accepted from anyone associated with DePaul University and is *not* limited to members of United Muslims Moving Ahead! Below are the categories for submissions:
Editorials/Opinions- These are the widest-ranging pieces. They can be about current events, culture, and general Islamic thought. We ask that submissions be at least tangentially related to UMMA. Reviews- These can be eith
er book or movie reviews. We ask that these be thorough but not spoil the content of the movie or book. Be creative with your submission! Readers may not want just another "good/bad" review of a Hollywood blockbuster. Consider foreign films, less well-known books, or even nonfiction! Coverage: These are small pieces, covering an UMMA event or an event from another student organization on DePaul's campus that you attended. On certain occasions, this may be expanded to include Chicago events. Poetry/Short Stories- Be your creative self! These pieces can be most anything.
*Note that UMMA Ink editors make the final decision as to whether or not a submission will make it to publication.*
