Below is a link to an amazing non-profit that is funding aid and evacuations for Ukrainians in the active war zone. To date, their teams have evacuated nearly 25,000 women, children, and seniors from some of the harder-hit cities in Ukraine. One of the things I love most about my mom is how she played with me when I was young - often joining me in whatever make-believe game or masterpiece I had in mind at the moment. An artist by trade, she always was up for getting her hands dirty, encouraging me to explore new projects and proudly displaying them around the house or sending them to loved ones as gifts. My mom has faced hardship in her life and her upbringing was less than warm - she spent a lot of time alone. I’ve always felt that she took her role as a mom really seriously. My mom always showed up for me and I will always show up for her.

This has been an incredibly hard year and, in my mind, no one is stronger or more resilient than a mom. We are the glue that holds everything together - we are raising the next generation of humans who will surely change the world for the better. So Happy Mother’s Day to us and cheers to brighter days ahead.
