I owe this page an apology. Life got busy, and because my Dwayne Shehi page was actually paying me, most of my attention went there while I tried to build consistent income from content. But I’m back over here now.
And I want to be honest about what the next month or two is going to look like. I’m going to be testing a lot.
I already know y’all respond heavy to Reels, but I don’t want The Penny Gentleman to just become a page where I throw videos at you all day. Some ideas need a Reel. Some need a photo. Some need a few paragraphs because everything worth saying can’t be squeezed into 12 seconds.
So yes, you might see Soulful Sunday on a Monday. You might see Success Saturday on a Wednesday. Fashion, wisdom, relationships, money, growth, whatever I’m testing that day. The value isn’t changing. I’m just trying to learn how YOU actually like to receive it.
And if you follow both pages, I’m not going to punish you by giving you the exact same content twice. The same idea might inspire something on both pages, but the writing, visuals, delivery and packaging will be different. You will never have to follow Dwayne Shehi and The Penny Gentleman just to see the same post twice.
Because honestly, the two pages are two different sides of me.
Dwayne Shehi is me with my hair down. Everyday Dwayne. Unfiltered, unapologetic, saying it how I actually say it.
The Penny Gentleman is the polished version of me. The version that understands presentation, professionalism, adapting to the room and yes, code switching. Because until nobody else’s name is on your paycheck, sometimes you have to know how to move through different rooms to get where you’re trying to go.
One is Dwayne at home.
The other is Dwayne when the meeting starts. 😂
So bear with me while I experiment. Some things are going to hit. Some are going to flop. Some of y’all might tell me never to post something again. 😂 That’s part of figuring out what this page is supposed to become.
But I’m back.
And this time, we’re actually going to build something.
