‼️REMINDER: THE DEADLINE TO ENTER FOR A CHANCE TO WIN TWO FREE STUDENT REGISTRATIONS TO THIS YEAR'S NAHJ CONFERENCE AND EXPO IN NEW ORLEANS IS TODAY (APRIL 30)!!

- The NAHJ Central Florida chapter wants to send TWO students to the conference this year.

- The contest offers paid registration, a free lunch and mentoring opportunities.

- To enter, like and follow our pages on Facebook and Instagram.

- Then, send us an email to [email protected] with links or PDFs to three of your best published clips; a short bio that tells us about yourself, why you should win, and how you're covering travel and lodging; and two professional references.

- Applications close Thursday, April 30, at 11:59 p.m. That's TONIGHT!!

NAHJ 2026 Student Summit Recap ✨

What an inspiring and successful weekend!

Our Central Florida chapter was proud to be part of this year’s summit, especially with several of our own members stepping up as speakers to connect with the next generation of journalists right at the alma mater of some of us… Go Knights! 🖤💛

We kicked things off with a fun social event, then rolled into a full Saturday of learning, connecting, and community. It was incredible meeting so many of you seeing familiar faces, making new connections, and being reminded exactly why we do what we do.

The future of journalism is bright and it’s right here in Florida. Students from across the state came together eager to grow, learn, and elevate their craft.

Special thanks to and for all your hard work putting this together, we appreciate you!
