I have a great song for what's going on in D.C. right now. It will only get worse, and it's kind of needed. The United States of America has (on a D.C. level) very little in common with one another anymore on a foundational level that allows disagreements, but lines to keep in check. However, when the D.C. representation is is running in polar opposite directions, "e pluribus duo".

This is not a "All Democrats" or "All Republicans" fault either, it is the abuse of both over time and the ignorance of the public to keep putting the mess makers back in power to "clean" the mess they made. Almost all of what the government does is not what it was suppose to do, but due to so many being weak and needing a nanny state, this is what we get to.

Remember this to any of you tribal lemmings who mindlessness follow the party marching orders, government is a gun that you will not always have control of, so how big do you want it when it's taken from you?

Covid is not worth the lockdowns. This does not mean don't be safe, it just means it's far over reaching what it should be in terms of govt response.

The covid numbers don't back a lockdown. Stay safe, stay informed, and always remember principles over party.

in reference to the government overreach that we have all seen pushed.

"Emergency Powers of the IL Governor (See also “Powers of the Governor”)

Section 7 of the IEMA Act (20 ILCS 3305/7(a) (West 2001 Supp.)) provides that in the event of a disaster, the Governor may, by proclamation, declare that a disaster exists.

Upon such proclamation, the Governor shall have and may exercise for a period of time not to exceed 30 days the emergency powers set out in that section. In informal Attorney General opinion No. I-01-028, issued July 2, 2001, it was determined that the emergency powers of the Governor cannot be extended beyond the 30 day period
permitted in subsection 7(a)(1) of the IEMA Act without legislative approval."

I want the opinion of my fellow TRFers. I am trying to limit the redundancy of rants on my own page and write actual articles on my WordPress with referenced links that can be edited and grow then will end up sharing them to this page. I am not looking to be opinionated on my posts and would like on "eyes on" to tell me my downfalls to avoid / improve.
