'Chicago Singer-Songwriter Jules Klee Hits the Road—Slowly'
Forget the tour bus. Chicago singer-songwriter Jules Klee is taking the scenic route—by bicycle.
Klee launches her unconventional “Slow Tour” Saturday, August 29, with a 7:30 p.m. in-studio performance at ShooBooty Studios in Chicago. At dawn the next morning, she’ll hop on her bike and pedal north to Grayslake for a 1 p.m. in-store performance at Andy’s Records - Grayslake, IL.
From there, the tour winds through Lake Geneva and Burlington, Wisconsin, before arriving in Milwaukee on September 2, where Klee plans to play an open mic and do some busking with a fellow Chicago musician. She’ll continue through Sheboygan and Manitowoc before catching a ferry to Manistee, Michigan, then biking onward to Traverse City for a September 9 show at The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park.
The route is intentionally low-key—and delightfully unpredictable.
“This is an unconventional tour in every way,” Klee says, describing a run of performances at record stores, roadsides and backyards, along with woodland songwriting sessions along the way.
The Slow Tour comes as Klee begins rolling out music from her forthcoming album, 'Roses on My Table', due in 2027. Her latest single, “He Don’t Know a Thing,” arrived July 31 and is the album’s first release. The song—and the album as a whole—explores a love that survived distance, addiction and loss.
