🐾 Still Waiting Beside the dump — the wind drifts wide, A yellow dog just stares outside. Its eyes are gray, like ashes cold, Yet in its heart, the waiting holds. Each passing truck — it lifts its head, Its tail will wag, then drop instead. The silence hums, the daylight fades, The wind — its only friend that stays. Rain comes down, the ground turns gray, It curls up where it was thrown away. It cannot know why love has gone, Still waits — for someone to come home.
