The video, which was shared on Facebook on Saturday, shows two women striking each other and large objects being thrown inside Go Bananas, 4516 N. Harlem Ave., while children are playing games nearby. A woman clutching a young child can be seen running past the melee.

A new policy up for adoption Sept. 11 makes it clear that any communication pertaining to District 113 will be treated as if it was sent to all board members using the district’s email address.

District 113 plans to adopt a new email policy that lets constituents know there should be "no expectation of privacy" for any communications sent to board members.

“Deerfield has some troubling history as well that is not acknowledged or talked about on any level, most notably that of the 1959 housing incident,” Deerfield High School graduate Hillary Wolff said. “I am referring to the incident that warranted (a visit) from Eleanor Roosevelt and gained national praise from the Ku Klux Klan.”

Looking to spend one fine day in Deerfield? If you do, checking out the historic train station is a must and so is having lunch at the Cherry Pit restaurant.

Deerfield, originally settled in 1835 and named around 1850 in part for its substantial deer population, is definitely worth a visit for its small-town charms, iconic bakery, restaurants where the locals are greeted warmly by name, eclectic independent stores, and historic buildings.

At the time of the Morton Grove crash in August 2016, authorities said, Joseph Sperling was driving about 100 mph when he slammed into a vehicle near Golf and Shermer roads in Morton Grove killing Denise Cavada, of Chicago, who had been returning home after playing bingo. Police said the impact split her vehicle in half.

A Glenview man who police said was driving about 100 mph two years ago when he slammed into another vehicle in Morton Grove killing a Chicago woman returning from playing bingo was sentenced last week to 6 ½ years in prison, authorities said Monday.
