I wanted to provide an update on the status of MTRSRADIO.COM
After extesnive soul searching, I have decided to shut the statio down. Instead of being generic in the reasons, we have always been transparent with our listeners.
No matter how many times I sit in front of the microphone, I just cant find the heart to create a show.
I need to make at least one, to say goodbye to Lee, to remember him, to thank our listeners and supports.
The right words, the right music all fail me. Hell, it took me a few weeks to write out this post.
I will put together something. I will have at least one last show - go out with a bang.
When Lee and I decided to create MTRSRADIO.COM, we had one rule. If it wasnt fun anymore, stop.
Lee was the heart of this endeavor, of this project to share some of the best damn independent music from around the globe. For years, we have successfully done that.
We've made friends around the globe. Introduced listeners to their new favorite bands and had more than our fair share of laughs along the way.
When Lee got sick in October, he made the decision to close up shop. He needed to heal and had a long road ahead.
When he passed in January, I couldnโt let go yet. Grieving for my brother, this was one of the things we had done together. From the first Fire & Ice episode to the show, and everything in-between it has been amazing memories made, shared with you all and I will forever be grateful.
We will have one more radio show. A chance to say goodbye, to say thank you, to rock out and raise our horns for the fallen.
I am working on the details now and will announce the show dates, along with the last day soon.
I want to thank you all for the support, for the acceptance, the love, the drinks, the music and the memories.
