A UPS plane has crashed at Louisville’s international airport, causing an explosion, giant plumes of smoke and fire to spread nearly a mile.

At least three people are dead and 11 injured, some seriously. Gov. Andy Beshear said he expects those numbers to grow.

The FAA said the plane crashed around 5:15 p.m. as it was taking off from SDF, heading toward Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Hawaii.
