🔥 FLASHBACK TO 2003 🔥
Reggaeton was catching fire and I was about to change the game

In early 2004 Reggaeton was starting to take over. Every DJ in Chicago was jumping on the wave. But when I listened to the mixes being put out? Trash. Off-beat blends, no structure, just noise. I was embarrassed for my city.

I had been away from the DJ scene for over 6 years. I walked into a mix shop just to see what was going on and to my surprise my Sad Girl Freestyle CDs were still on the shelves. People were still asking “When are you dropping something new?”

That lit a fire in me.

I did the research. I studied the history from El General to Don Omar. I connected with a girl from Elgin who had every Reggaeton CD out at the time. I built a mix not to sell, just to prove I still had it.

But when people heard it they lost their minds.

What started as a private project turned into a movement
On December 29, 2004 I dropped Baila Reggaeton. A mix with clean edits, flawless blends, a cinematic intro, and my signature slow-jam ending. It raised the bar. DJs had to step up after that.

I play everything. That’s never been a problem. I stopped focusing on lyrics a long time ago learned that from house music. It’s the beat that moves the body. If the groove is good, I’ll play it, flip it, and remix it live. At 52, I’m still going crazy on the decks, loving every second. The beats are dope, the energy is real and when I’m mixing live, I’m right where I’m meant to be.
