Michelle Harris for making B2SK Chicago a special event!

Super proud to announce the launch of Back2School Kicks Chicago August 27 @ 11:00am at Gately Stadium Indoor track. A group of organizations including Youth Guidance Chicago, Community Retail Association, Running Refugees, and The Athlete's Foot have teamed up to provide hundred of Chicago kids with free shoes heading into the new school year. We need all hands-on deck for BS2K Chicago.From helping at one of our activity stations, to distributing shoes to the students, sign up and be a part of the experience. All volunteers receive an event t-shirt, food, and some other goodies to come!

Last night myself and fellow board members for the Running Refugees had the honor to bring dinner, hand out gift bags, and distribute rental assistance checks for 30 Afghani refugee families from our 30 days 30 homes Ramadan Campaign. We are beyond thankful to our partner Sima Qader Quraishi and the Muslim Women Resource Centeror helping us organize this initiative. Also, special thanks to Pita Inn for their generous donation and providing an amazing spread for our guests.
