It took a week but the weekend is finally here!

If you’re in Chicago, chances are you’re at or am trying to get a reservation at hotspot . Outdoors overlooking a lively pedestrian street (blocked off to cars in the evenings) or indoors in a sleek and modern space - there are no bad seats here. Reservations can be hard to come by so make them in advance. The food is some of the best Italian in the city: homemade pastas, seasonal vegetables and heaping amounts of fresh seafood. knows that hospitality isn’t just about good design - the warmth of the service and delectable cuisine round out the experience at ’s restaurant. Lobbies really say a lot about a hotel. are known for handsome lobbies with dark woods, contemporary lighting and sleek furniture. They feel a bit like a gentleman’s club - all smokey ci**rs and fine scotch - but modernized for dandies who read and .

feels both warm and elegant, intimate and grand. It is basically a deconstructed library with books artfully scattered and comfortable seating inviting guests to linger. The price of admission is just knowing this neighborhood gem is here, on a street of stately townhouses in Chicago’s Gold Coast.

What is the most spectacular view you have ever had at a hotel? sure is a top contender: endless panorama of Cancun and shopping/entertainment center ’s dramatic Ferris wheel.

But not to be outdone by the view, the interiors are chic and stylish while the rooms also feel cozy.

Found my new happy place: . ⛱

I’m on a pre-Mother’s Day trip with my mom (see her in my stories!) in beautiful Miami. What better but to wish healthiness and wellness to the ones you love? Love and health are probably the greatest gifts you can bestow and this place makes me feel both in abundance.

There is no better place to promote all things wellness but 5 star . Part of the prestigious , it is also the winner of multiple spa awards. named it number one in Florida and includes it on its inaugural list of Wellness Stars. With a 70,000 square feet multi story spa - complete with climbing wall! - and cutting edge spa tech treatments, there is something for every concern.

Tomorrow is my day of Touchless Treatments - pandemic-friendly since it’s you alone with state-of-the-art equipment (therapists are nearby to make sure everything goes smoothly). (I’m going -275 degrees in cryotherapy - scared but excited. Fingers crossed.) BUT today, I chose my dose of mind-body-soul goodness at the beach.

Surprised? The sea is a natural spa. Seawater contains vitamins, minerals and amino acids that promote immunity. Red blood cells increase by 5-20% after a dip in the water. Soothing blue color and the sound of waves have a calming effect on mood. Also, beach time usually means lots of sunshine and vitamin D. Sure, has a technological advanced spa indoors, but it has a pretty amazing outdoor one as well, complete with fancy attendants, cute umbrellas, and away from crowds. Let me tell you, this wellness trip is already working its magic. I love it here! Thank you for day 1, ! 🌊

From the middle of the desert to up a mountainside, has a view for everyone.

I'm in love with this "Enchanted Lookout."

The cabin is only 1.5 hours from San Diego, but it feels like another world. It sits on its own private hillside, looking straight down the face of Pechacho Peak, the highest point in the Volcan Mountains. To the left is forest and to the right (though you have to walk a block away for the view) is Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Highlights of a stay include hiking the various trails, indulging in the solitude of the surrounding old growth pine and oaks, soaking all your worries away in the hot tub, and meandering around Julian, the quaint historic town a mile away.

The cabin was painstakingly renovated to pay tribute to its history while also updated with modern conveniences and safety features for guests with allergies or chemical sensitivities. It even uses HEPA, the same filters airlines use on their planes. Clean mountain air outside and clean HEPA-filtered air inside - it sounds safer than my own home! Plus, I just can't get over this view!

Happy holidays! What a year it's been! I think we all deserve a break - somewhere remote (i.e. socially distanced), relaxing and comforting with our small bubble of family or good friends.
