DELAMOTA is a name synonymous with Chicago drum & bass and the driving force behind M.I.A. (Murda In America), one of the largest and most influential drum & bass music groups in the United States, where he serves as a founder and president.
DELAMOTA's journey began in the raw energy of Chicago's early 90s rave scene, where he cut his teeth DJing after-hours and intimate underground parties. By 1998, his ambition led him to establish Sky High, a production company that hosted massive multi-room events, drawing crowds of up to 8,500 people. His unwavering dedication to the D&B sound has propelled him across the nation, headlining and sharing stages with the world's top electronic music producers and DJs in over 25 cities across 20 states.
His relentless drive to push drum & bass has seen him explore diverse musical avenues as both a DJ and producer. This includes three national tours, fronting SolJazz, a live D&B band that electrified countless raves in the 90s and early 00s, and his current drumstep group, High$ociety, making waves in Chicago. With credits on two vinyl releases and a catalog of MP3s available on iTunes, Beatport, and other digital outlets, DELAMOTA's commitment to the genre is undeniable.
A true hardcore junglist, DELAMOTA has held esteemed residencies at Chicago's most prestigious clubs, exclusively championing drum & bass.
