Yooyee in Uptown. Is this place worth the hype and the wait? Yes and no. The spicy pork rib soup is mark as spicy but it isn’t(if you can’t eat spicy then this won’t be a problem). The noodles are handmade and very bouncy and chewy. The northern stew with crispy pancakes $25 isn’t what I expected. The sauce is more like gravy. I like the northern style goat stew at Pot Sticker house.
Overall is this place worth the hype and the wait? Well if you have time on your hand then yes. If your press for time then no. It’s missing that Chinatown numbing spiciness and flavor. I think it’s also the most expensive place on argyle. $73 before tax for an app and two entree. To be blunt, it’s not as flavorful as the option in Chinatown specifically the food court downstairs. 6.5/10 experience.
