6° Broadcasting Gives Back: In Partnership with Stade’s Farm & Market and United Way — Feeding Communities, Connecting Hearts
IL —
6° Broadcasting continues to prove that media can do more than entertain — it can connect, uplift, and serve. In partnership with Stade’s Farm & Market and United Way, the network took its mission of compassion into action by helping organize, pack, and deliver thousands of pounds of fresh produce to families and local food banks across northern Illinois.
▪︎The day began under crisp fall skies at Stade’s Farm, where volunteers surrounded tables and crates overflowing with apples, squash, broccoli, cauliflower, and greens. Bright reusable bags lined the farm entrance — each filled with fresh, healthy food ready to be distributed. The spirit of teamwork and gratitude filled the air as volunteers loaded trucks and laughed together while making a tangible difference.
▪︎“All that food was going to 10 different food banks,” shared Joey Seifert , 6° Broadcasting outreach coordinator. ▪︎“Everyone came together — from the farmers to the drivers to the volunteers — to make sure families across multiple communities had what they needed. It’s what real connection looks like.”
▪︎This initiative exemplified 6° Broadcasting’s core belief that every connection matters. The company’s name — symbolizing the “six degrees of separation” that link all people — reflects its greater purpose: turning those invisible threads into acts of kindness, unity, and shared impact.
▪︎Rows of volunteers, colorful bags of produce, and smiling faces showed that giving doesn’t need grand gestures — it simply needs people willing to show up. Through its broadcasting reach, 6° has been using storytelling to highlight such moments of generosity, ensuring that compassion gets as much attention as headlines.
▪︎“At 6° Broadcasting, we believe that community is connection — six degrees or less,” Seifert added. “This wasn’t just a food drive; it was about standing together and reminding each other that kindness is still powerful.”
▪︎Each box and bag collected at the farm was distributed across ten different food banks, expanding the reach of the event beyond just one community into neighboring towns and counties. By joining hands with United Way, Stade’s Farm, and local volunteers, 6° Broadcasting created a ripple effect of hope that touched countless families during a critical season.
▪︎The success of this event has sparked plans for a broader “Six Degrees of Giving” campaign, which will spotlight everyday heroes, local farms, and small businesses that embody community spirit.
▪︎Through their media platforms — including TV, streaming, and online storytelling — 6° Broadcasting continues to bridge entertainment and empathy, proving that broadcasting can be a force for unity. With every story shared and every act of service, they remind us all that even the smallest degree of connection can create something extraordinary. Watch 6° on the ROKU channel...
