your flyers arenā€™t bad because AI is bad. theyā€™re bad because you typed six words in the prompt box and hit enter. i work in AI all day, every day, and i make youtube thumbnails with it constantly. the difference is taste, not the tool.

hereā€™s how to fix it right now:

1. tell it not to use that bold slanted graffiti font. thatā€™s the number one tell.
2. tell it to cut the word count and the icons. most AI flyers have so much going on you canā€™t even tell what the event is.
3. give it an actual style. ā€œdowntown chicago skyline as the background.ā€ ā€œmake it photorealistic.ā€ ā€œretro 1950s.ā€ specificity is what separates it from slop.
4. if you donā€™t know what aesthetics exist, just ask chatgpt to name you five that fit your flyer. then pick one and tell it to redesign using that.

thatā€™s it. same tool, completely different output.

If you built an app with AI this year, there is a real chance your API keys are sitting right there in the code where anybody can grab them. Studies this year put AI generated code failing security tests somewhere between 45% and 70%, and AI written commits leak secrets at twice the normal rate. My fix takes ten minutes...
