We all know how important biology is. Thanks to it, we have medicine, agriculture, and veterinary science. Logically, one of the most important sciences for humanity is the science of life and nature, because we ourselves are part of it. That is why today I once again wanted to remember two titans of this field. Charles Darwin - the man who laid the foundations of evolutionary theory, which later developed into the modern synthetic theory of evolution. Virtually all modern biology is built upon it. Neither pharmacology nor neurobiology could have advanced this far without understanding how living organisms evolve and change. Rosalind Franklin made an enormous contribution to 20th century biology. Her research played a key role in revealing the structure of DNA. Thanks to her work and the work of her colleagues, humanity was finally able to see the molecule that encodes the genetic information of all living organisms. Without this discovery, we would never have advanced so deeply into biochemistry, genetics, and genetic engineering, continuing to rely only on Mendel’s laws and traditional selective breeding. Thank you, biologists.
