This jet pilot must have experienced quite a lift off out of this F-16. Looks like a blast! Glad he’s okay.

Capt. Christopher Stricklin ejects from his F-16 using an ACES II seat on 14 September 2003 at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. He escaped without injury. Stricklin was flying as Thunderbird No. 6 when the aircraft struck the ground during an air show.

He had already steered the jet away from the crowd of more than 50,000 people.
It was only the second crash since the Thunderbirds switched to the F-16 in 1982.

The ACES II seat worked exactly as designed!
