EXTRA! EXTRA! 📰

Yellow journalism? We plead guilty.

Marigold is making headlines, with chocolate as her accomplice.

Ten toes down for the em dash—

Once elegant. Now incriminating.

AI may have made her infamous, but I’m not surrendering one of punctuation’s finest flourishes without a fight.

A pause. An interruption. A little drama. Sometimes a sentence simply needs room to breathe—

In Defense of the Em Dash.

Apparently, the em dash is AI’s new scarlet letter.

Awkward—considering writers got there first.

At CBC? We didn’t get the memo. Dickinson used it. I use it. And I’m not surrendering her without a fight.

The windbreaker gets its break.

Once relegated to the gym, the track, and questionable weather, this sporty staple has officially cleaned up its act.

Pair it with a pencil skirt. Add a polished pant. Diamonds? Absolutely. The trick is in the tension: nylon against something decidedly more refined.

The wind changed.

Suddenly, the most useful jacket in the closet is also the one making the outfit.

A windbreaker, but make it intentional: oversized over a column, zipped against something polished, thrown over tailoring, or worn with the kind of nonchalance that suggests weather was never really the point.

Sporty? Technically.
Basic? Absolutely not.

Elegance is having a moment.

Not the buttoned-up, perfectly behaved kind. The interesting kind.

Soft columns. Draped skirts. Trailing scarves. Velvet and lizard. A flash of snakeskin. A touch of gold.

This fall, it’s less about dressing up and more about the details that make getting dressed feel considered again.

And Grace? She approves. 🕊️

Elegance? She never really left. She was just on holiday.

This fall, she’s is back.

The polish. The restraint. The impossible ease of making everything beautifully considered look entirely effortless.

Fall has entered the chat. 🍂

Dusters, shearling, suede, cashmere, loafers, mules, boots… after a summer of barely-there dressing, I’m ready for layers again.

This week’s Butterfly Effect is my fall wishlist: the pieces I’m falling for, the ones already living in my closet, and a few currently making a very compelling case for admission.

Because summer dressing is easy. Fall dressing? That’s where the fun begins.

What I’m falling for right now: suede, shirting, soft knits, darker denim, a loafer, a little leopard, and that strange late-summer moment when fall starts tapping on the glass.

Not quite sweater weather. Not quite ready to let go of bare ankles. Exactly the in-between.

Featuring Tory Burch, Nour Hammour, Soft Goat, Chan Luu, Charvet + Suzie Kondi.

The Butterfly Effect lands Sunday. 🦋

Consider this our official fall notice. 🍂

Taupe. Chocolate. Wool. Exaggerated proportions. And just enough drama to make getting dressed interesting again.

We’re falling into fall with Arakii, the Stockholm brand making the seasonal shift look very, very good.

Falling Into Fall with Arakii is live now.
