I never would’ve imagined that one of my favorite bands growing up would end up appreciating my photos. It honestly means a lot. I’ve loved their music for so long, and to now create something that they not only see but genuinely enjoy—it’s a full-circle kind of feeling. It’s surreal and deeply rewarding.

Here’s a fun one I just finished—took a photo I snapped yesterday and spun it into two totally different, silly directions. The color version became a fake early 2000s pop-punk band cover (think Swing Set Etiquette vibes), and the black-and-white version got the full “forgotten VHS horror tape you’d find in the used bin at your local video store” treatment. Just leaning into the absurd for a laugh—hope it gives you one too.

I’ve been doing a silly project where I take my own concert photography and use AI to create fake gig flyers—placing major artists at defunct or wildly mismatched local venues. As I’vee been going ive leaned harder into parody: misspelling names, flipping cities, maybe once i see Fall Out Boy I’ll do a flyer for them at C**k Robin or Ministry at Santa’s Village.

It’s all just for fun, meant to get a double-take and a laugh—not to ruffle feathers. I’m thinking of honing in on Chicago bands and defunct venues for that extra hit of hometown nostalgia and surreal humor. Imagine these on shirts at real shows—totally ridiculous in the best way 😝 Hollow Box
