🪁Electronic Intifada Radio: Will justice catch up with Israel? (Released May 29th, 2026)

📆 Airs: Sunday May 31st, 2026
⏰ 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM CST

Reports suggest the International Criminal Court may seek arrest warrants for several far-right Israeli officials and military officers, though prosecutors have not confirmed this. So far, the ICC has publicly issued warrants only for Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Gallant, while other sealed warrants may still exist. Researcher, analyst, and commentator Mouin Rabbani joins hosts Nora Barrows-Friedman and Ali Abunimah to talk about the pursuit of justice for victims of the genocide and the broader challenges faced by the Palestinian national movement.
Israel has intensified its air campaign across southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley, carrying out hundreds of strikes on towns, civilian areas, and displacement zones while casualties and displacement continue to rise. Roqayah Chamseddine reports from southern Lebanon.

On the Resistance Report, the Electronic Intifada’s Jon Elmer told us last week about the Israeli assassination of the Qassam Brigades leader Izz al-Din al-Haddad in Gaza City. Mohammed Odeh, their long-standing head of intelligence, was then chosen as their new commander. This week, the latest Israeli ceasefire violation: yet another assassination as Odeh, his wife and three children are killed in an airstrike.

Inside Palestine or out, refugees describe constant fear and steadfast determination. We hear excerpts from Malak Hijazi’s latest article called ‘Endless displacement, endless Nakba.’

📝 Produced by Pierre Loiselle, Nora Barrows-Friedman and Tamara Nassar.

✨ THE PONDERERS ✨
6:00 - 8:00 PM

The Ponderers is hosted by Stephanie Manriquez (Fanita Banana), Sandra Treviño (Angelf*k), and Jhonatan Carbonell.

This evening at 7:00 p.m., we welcome HERBOLARIA, a producer from Mazatlan whose project reflects melancholy and emotional intensity, transformed into songs that serve as a ritual and as a space to process pain, find strength in fragility, and heal through movement. On this occasion, she connects with us to talk about her latest collaborative single, “A Flor De Piel,” with Culiacán artist, ROSAS.

In addition, we are playing new releases and new arrivals and discussing the latest in music news (chismesitos).

Join The Ponderers on second and fourth Mondays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for an eclectic medley of sounds in both digital and vinyl formats, featuring global tracks focusing on femme-fronted artists.

🎙️ MUTUAL AID REPORT 🎙️

Own the Block: How PIHCO is reclaiming Pilsen

🗓️ Tuesday, May 26th, 2026
⏰ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM CST

📝 This week, we look at a radical alternative to top-down development in  Pilsen with the organizers and resident-owners of PIHCO (Pilsen Housing Cooperative). 🏘️

We break down the mechanics of cooperative housing—how it actually works, what “limited-equity” means, and why this model is a crucial tool for fighting displacement and preserving the cultural fabric of neighborhoods like Pilsen.

As PIHCO pushes toward its goal of scaling to 35 member-owners by the end of 2026, we unpack the physical reality of cooperative living, democratic governance, and removing housing from the speculative market to build permanent neighborhood stability. ✊🏾

Traditional media often frames neighborhood change as inevitable, but this conversation highlights the hands actively building a resident-controlled solidarity economy from the ground up.

📻 Tune in to WLPN-LP 105.5FM Lumpen Radio or stream the archive at lumpenradio.com. Support local cooperatives and check on your neighbors.
