I knew…

I just did. I found the lump and “knew” right away that this was cancer. Even before the initial scans and biopsies. God had given me peace, in the midst of the storm. He comforted me, and told me I was going to be ok. And He was going to use my story.

What were your initial thoughts when you got your diagnosis? Seeing/hearing that word “malignant?”

Last April when I got the news, I was in absolute shock and looked completely normal. Very little emotion. Everything was matter of fact, focusing on starting treatment. The nurse was tearing up as the doctor said, “you have cancer in your entire left breast…” and I just sat there, emotionless, asking what the next steps were.
