**Shia LaBeouf is looking back at what happened in New Orleans during Mardi Gras — and he admits he messed up.**

In February 2026, LaBeouf was arrested in New Orleans following an altercation outside a bar during Mardi Gras. Police said he had been causing a disturbance and allegedly became increasingly aggressive before striking several people. He was initially charged with two counts of simple battery.

Months later, the situation resulted in LaBeouf pleading guilty to **three counts of simple battery**. He received suspended six-month sentences and two years of probation, along with requirements including alcohol treatment, anger management and sensitivity training.

Looking back on the incident, LaBeouf has taken responsibility for his behavior, saying he believes the incident was more connected to **anger and ego** than alcohol.

What began as a night of Mardi Gras partying ultimately became another difficult chapter in the actor’s life — one he now says he has to take responsibility for.

Apparently, Shia LaBeouf’s extreme commitment to his role in *Fury* reportedly didn’t win him many fans on set.

To get into character, LaBeouf reportedly pulled out one of his own teeth, went without washing for extended periods, and even cut his face to make the character’s appearance feel more authentic.

His intense method-acting reportedly became so difficult for the production that he was housed at a bed-and-breakfast away from the rest of the cast during filming.

Talk about taking method acting to another level.😳

**Shia LaBeouf is speaking publicly about the abuse allegations that have followed him for years.**

During an appearance on Jon Bernthal’s podcast *Real Ones*, LaBeouf addressed allegations made against him by singer FKA Twigs in a 2020 lawsuit.

The two dated for roughly a year after meeting while working on LaBeouf’s 2019 film *Honey Boy*. In her lawsuit, FKA Twigs accused the actor of sexual battery as well as physical and verbal abuse, alleging a series of disturbing incidents during their relationship.

Among the allegations were claims of violent behavior, strangulation, knowingly transmitting an STD, and an incident involving LaBeouf allegedly shooting stray dogs with a gun as preparation for his role in *The Tax Collector*.

LaBeouf has now offered his own perspective on the accusations, revisiting one of the most controversial chapters of his career and the impact it has had on his life.

After becoming single following his longtime relationship, Lambert said the dating scene in New York felt noticeably different. He joked that he was meeting more gay men with “real jobs,” while in LA, he felt like many of the men he encountered were focused on “OF” or trying to become the next reality-TV star.

The move came during a major period of change for the singer. In 2024, Lambert made his Broadway debut as the Emcee in *Cabaret*, left the city he had called home for most of his adult life, and entered the studio with a renewed sense of inspiration.
