WeatherCast Central (or WCC) is a new website that I have launched in September 2016 with the goal of providing comprehensive weather information. The site will be handling storm systems that impact the Northeast and Midwest regions of the United States. What you will be seeing are easy to understand maps, severe and winter weather alerts, forecasts extending up to 10 days, and useful blog posts t
o help keep you ahead of the storm. These won't be your ordinary forecasts you see on an app or computer generated map; they'll be hand-generated for maximum accuracy and usefulness. While a lot of the information will be free, there's also a premium subscription for getting the most out of this website. Forecasting takes a lot of work, so I want to provide a little "extra" in return for the profits required keep this site operational. What you will get in the subscription includes no ads, quicker access to maps, consultation, and so much more. I want to add as much value as possible, so I will always be working to improve the subscription, take in user suggestions, and add new features over time. A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME=====
I've held an interest in weather for as long as I can remember. There is just something fascinating about watching nature go to work and learning the science behind how these things operate. I reside in the Chicago area (the winters here are brutal!), and tracking the next snow system or listening to a nocturnal thunderstorm fueled my passion for meteorology. My past experiences in weather forecasting include gathering up to 10k fans and producing accurate forecasts while keeping them aware of dangerous weather conditions. It has always been my motto to educate my viewers rather than frighten them into "liking" and "sharing" my content. I believe that this not only helps prevent people from not taking warnings seriously, it also respects the community as a whole. There's too much misinformation on the internet already, and the last thing we need are fake weather reports. It's my goal to continue the commitment of keeping hype to a minimum while growing WCC into something great and useful. I look forward to getting back into forecasting again, and I really want to sharpen my skills and get into weather full-time with my new subscription offering. THIS SITE IS BUILT FOR YOU=====
WeatherCast Central's tagline is: "your weather, personalized." And I really want to help this website live up to its name. For this reason, I've added one-on-one forecasting support, a comprehensive "storm mode," and a brand new county-based mapping system to the site. This is going to be very useful for enabling people to track storm systems without the guesswork.
