We’ve got a lot of fun activities coming to the storytime space!

Join us today at 10am for Spanish Storytime! A lovely member of our community has volunteer her time to bring stories in Spanish to our space Monday, June 9, Monday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 25!

will also be here once a month during the summer for a sensory rich adventure called Wiggle & Wonder which will be held on Thursday, June 26 this month with additional dates on July 17 and August 1!

Plus our regular story time with Discover Chico will be happening every Monday and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 (when we aren’t having Spanish story time).

These events are all free and open to the public, no purchase necessary to come and enjoy!

🌿 BIRTHDAY BASH: LOWER YAHI TRAIL PLANT HIKE 🌿
Date: Thursday, June 5, 2025
Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Join naturalist Jon Aull for a special Birthday Bash celebration hike along the beautiful Lower Yahi Trail! We’ll take a leisurely 4-mile stroll from Horseshoe Lake to Bear Hole, exploring old growth riparian forest and the spectacular lava formations of Iron Canyon.

With nearly 1,000 plant species in Bidwell Park, there’s plenty to discover - we may even spot rare plants that washed down after the Park Fire!

WHAT TO BRING:

Sturdy footwear
Water
Optional: swimwear for creek wading
MEETING PLACE: Upper Park Lot E (Horseshoe Lake overlook)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Open to all ages
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult
Maximum attendance: 20 participants

Looking for something free and easy to do with your little ones this summer, check out our story time in the sub level of Stoble Coffee!

Meeting Mondays and Wednesdays (typically at 9:30 AM, with the exception of Spanish story hour which meets at 10am on 6/9, 6/16 & 6/25).

Some weeks it’s pretty chill and we have three or four families … some weeks it is rather bonkers and full to the max of folks playing and reading and singing.

Hope to see you down here sometime this summer!
