I'll be airing Dan Carter's interview with Meg Helms about the upcoming Paradise Chocolate Fest coming up next weekend and some of the fun festivities taking place including some great live music.

Then I'll be airing an interview with the Florida-born fiery bluesman Selwyn Birchwood who will be making an appearance at The Press Club in Sacramento, a rare West Coast stop.

AND, if that wasn't already enough of a punch packing radio show, I'll be talking to the amazing Texas blues queen Carolyn Wonderland about her upcoming release on Alligator Records, Truth Is, coming out on May 16th.

This Saturday at 1:30, it's time for Studio 416 with Co-Host Shirley McCoy.

For this show, I'll air an interview with Pat Faherty, awesome guitar player formerly with the band GA-20. We discuss his new band, Canyon Lights, featuring Tim Carman and Heather Gillis.

I will also be bringing in some guests to speak about this weekend's Maker's Muse Street Fair being put on by our friends at Idea Fab Labs Chico and Maker Radio.

To close us out I'll have a few members of local favorites band the mighty Smokey the Groove. They are celebrating 10 years of playing music together and are having an epic show at Lost on Main to celebrate.

They'll be appearing together at the The Torch Club this Sunday, January 26th. A blue Sunday event brought to you by the Sacramento Blues Society.

Anthony Ayra appeared on The Voice at just 15 years old and is making a name for himself in the Americana/blues scene

AC Myles is an bad ass guitar slinger who played alongside Fillmore Slim and tours around the Bay Area with his own band. He is known to play with Joe Hammons from time to time when he is in our area.

Jonathan Stoyanoff, a Chico favorite, from Joe Craven and the Sometimers who has also played with Dennis Johnson, Jonathan's Dead, The Bumptet, etc will talk to us about his upcoming show, a tribute to Amy Winehouse with Hattie Craven on vocals. A little preview of what to expect at the show on December 1st at the women's club.

Then we have an interview with powerhouse soul/funky/blues husband and wife duo the Bennet Matteo Band and a preview of their live music.

And a live phone interview with repeat guest Kyle Rowland of Rowland and Tumblin... he is taking his whole band to Memphis this next year and recently became the youngest member of the Sacramento Blues Society Hall of Fame. We'll hear from him about what he has been up to and hear about his next fundraising event to get he and the band to Memphis.
