On Wednesday night, the Plumas County Sheriff's Office said a trouble ticket had been opened with AT&T regarding the issue, which may be affecting several agencies in Northern California.

"I woke up at about 4:30-4:45 with a loud bang on the roof and I didn't know what the heck happened," Michael Nelson said. "I thought maybe something was on fire again and I came out here with a flashlight and much to my chagrin, I got a tree on top of my roof."

While the fallen tree disrupted his satellite feed, Nelson's power and water remained unaffected. He plans to remove the tree himself since it fell on his property.
