AITA for telling my dad's girlfriend that she's a golddigger?

My dad is pretty rich and is retired at 50. He was dating this woman "Laura" for a couple of years and it worried me that she was just after his money. She's 35. My dad said he'd never marry or have anymore kids (besides me 24m) because he wants to leave everything to me.

Last year dad texted me and said he had some good news about him and Laura. I thought they were going to get married and I was going to tell him to get a prenuptial to make sure our family money stays in the family.

AITA for farting in front of my partner?

This feels ridculous to post, but I (24F) have been with my partner (30M) for almost 2 years, and we just moved in together about 4 months ago. Lately, he’s been getting really frustarted with me because he says I fart too much at home and it’s disgusts him. I tend to fart a few times at night, and he gets super grumpy, and has accused me of doing it on purpose (I’m not). He says I “don’t need to push it out.”

We just got in a big argument about it tonight because I farted in the kitchen on accident. I am extremely fed up with him treating me like what I’m doing is unnatural and always telling me I need to be more like a lady. I feel like I should be able to fart in my own home without judgement. I told him I was sick and tired of his attitude and acting like I’m some sort of freak for doing something that everyone does.

AITA for yelling at my sister for dropping my kids off at our step dads house?

I (30m) have two children: Mason 10months and Delilah 3 years old. My wife and I rarely go out while having two children and end up watching movies with our kids and eating snacks. My sister works as a daycare teacher. She volunteered to babysit, I didn’t mind as she was good with kids, my wife also agreed while we went out for a while. We dropped the kids off at 5 and came back at 8.

So my gf is older than me and has a 3 year child. They are staying with me for the week. I think her daughter is cool and we get along well. I take them both out to dinner, I buy them whatever they like. They only thing I asked was hey by midnight can you put your 3 year old daughter to sleep? Her daughter will be on our room till 2 am wanting to play and talk, mind you I have to wake up around 6:30/7 am for work. AITA for telling my friend she was out of line and deserved what happened to her

My friend let's call her Polly worked at a women's only salon with all female stylists that caters to Jewish and Hijabi Muslim women but is open to all women. The doors can only be opened from the inside and there are no windows so men can not see in and see their hair at any time.

Polly often photographs client styles when she's done. She always covers their faces and the pictures mostly go in to a photo book for other clients to look at that stays in the salon and is never seen by men. Sometimes however she posts certain clients online. Usually clients who don't have religious hair restrictions. Recently however, she has a Muslim client who got a really cool style and dye job that she'd never seen or done before.

AITA for asking my upstairs neighbor to not vacuum her hard floors?

My neighbor moved in above me about a month ago. Before she moved in, the complex renovated her unit so she has all hard floors except in the bedrooms. (Unrenovated units like mine are all carpeted.) Everything has been fine so far, except for at some point every week she vacuums her floors. Now, obviously I understand her vacuuming the carpeted areas or her rugs. But she vacuums the hard floors too. It can go on for about half an hour. The issue is that I work from home and she vacuums in the middle of the day when I'm on meetings. It's very hard for me to concentrate on my meetings when this happens.

I finally went up and knocked on her door and explained the situation to her. She was very apologetic, and asked when is a better time for her to vacuum so that she doesn't disturb me. I asked why she needed to vacuum her hard floors as opposed to just sweeping or swiffering. She said that she has a cat, so she actually vacuums AND Swiffer's. AITA for Advising My Friend to Open Her Own Bank Account?

I (42m) advised my friend (29f) to open her own bank account because her husband (39m) was becoming very possessive over money in the joint account when she started making a good wage.

When they were first married she was a nanny with out much of an income. They agreed to have a joint account and split the bills. They used the shared account for expenses, his child support, everything.

She was able to use the joint account for going out and general expenses. She never spent much and respected that she didn’t make as much. Also it was and still is rare for her to go out without her husband

Over the years she got a well paid job earning close to his income, equal or more.

AITA for not wanting the puppy my bf bought for my birthday present?

For context: I (27F) have always had pets dogs, cats, even birds that fell from their nests I also rescued and re-home tons of animals But I've never kept a male pet. My mom didn't like them because of the whole 'peeing everywhere' thing, and I guess I just got used to only having girl pets. Plus, I love using my dogs like pillows, and I'll admit the doggy boy parts that are always a little too present makes me uncomfortable.

Anyway, I've had my dog let's call her luna since I was 17. She's my baby and she 100% rules my life. She's not really friendly with kids, other dogs, or most men, but she at least kinda likes my boyfriend (31M) of two years.

AITAH for resisting my girlfriend’s and therapist’s reading of a situation?

I've (36m) been dating my girlfriend (38f) for about 1.5 years. Things haven't been going so great so we've started couple's therapy a little while ago. In a recent session my girlfriend said I wasn't being supportive and gave the following situation as an example:

One evening I didn't reply to her texts for about an hour and missed a call from her (I genuinely didn't see them). I usually respond more quickly but there certainly have been cases where I or she haven't responded for longer than that and it wasn't an issue. Before I saw the text, she got mad at me (sent me more texts calling me a d***, saying I didn't care about her, that I was just coasting in the relationship, etc. etc.). When I looked at my phone, I ignored the insults and apologised for missing her texts and explained that I didn't see them. She kept having a go at me, eventually telling me she wouldn't speak to me on the next day.

My husband grew up with two sisters, but when he was a senior in high school his mom came home from vacation with a baby, well call her "Katie" now i have no idea how she managed to get an adoption through so quickly, or how she managed to adopt without her husband's consent but she was in a foreign country, so maybe things are different over there. FIL was pi**ed and threatened to divorce her, but she convinced him that it was like her getting a pet and he wouldn't have to do anything.
