While the Click It or Ticket campaign — an annual high-visibility campaign reminding Texans to always buckle up — has ended for this year, the behind-the-scenes work doesn't stop.

The Texas Department of Transportation, in collaboration with local law enforcement, including the Childress County Sheriff's Office and Childress Police Department, reminds: Click It or Ticket. It could save your life.

We had so much fun at Popsicles with Police today! 🚔

Thank you to the Childress County Sheriff's Office, Childress Police Department and Texas Department of Transportation for teaching our local youth about seatbelt safety, and thank you to United Supermarkets for providing the popsicles.

Childress Elks Lodge #1113 hosted an amazing Memorial Day Service this morning at Jones Chapel in Childress Cemetery.

Today, we take the time to honor those who died in service to our country and think of the families of the fallen and those who served with them on this solemn day.

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. Freedom is never free, and we are forever grateful.

"Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it." 🇺🇸
