SEND THEM TO SALEM!!!!! The Warriors move on to the Final Four in VHSL they fought through the rain and mud and picked up a 7-3 win over Fort Chiswell!

Tyler Gonzalez was elite on the mound pitching 5 and 1/3 with 8 K's. Bryce Robinson shut the door to pick up the final 4 outs.

Brent Kilbourne started the game with a Laser Beam over the left field fence to put the Warriors up 2-0, the Pioneers rallied to pick up 3 runs in the 3rd inning. But after an onslaught of doubles by Jayden Schwartz, Tyler Gonzalez, and Bryce Robinson, the Warriors reclaimed the lead in the 4th inning 6-3. Jayden Shwartz tacked on one more in the 6th to make it 7-3.

The Warriors will play again on Friday at 9:00am (yes, AM) in Salem for a chance to play in the State Championship!

We've got a STATE CHAMPION!!! Raegan Jones is the 2026 Class 1 VHSL State Champion in the girls 300m hurdles!!!

Chilhowie’s own Raegan Jones is bringing a state title back to Southwest Virginia!

Jones captured the VHSL Class 1 Girls 300 Meter Hurdles State Championship, blazing her way to gold with a State Class 1 Meet Record winning time of 45.68.

The road to a state championship is never easy, but Raegan rose to the occasion on Virginia’s biggest stage and delivered when it mattered most. Her hard work, determination, and dedication paid off with a title that can never be taken away.

Congratulations to Raegan Jones, her coaches, teammates, and the entire Chilhowie community on an incredible achievement!
