Bear Update:
LOOK AT THE LIFE COMING BACK TO HIS EYES! 😻🥹😭
After being unable to save his 2 siblings due to the extent of their injuries, we made the decision that it was worth every penny of the $1,200 estimate we received to give Bear a chance, and we’re so glad we did! 🥹
🚑🚨 He received emergency care, a blood transfusion and hospitalization and is doing GREAT!
But now we need your help - if you can please help us cover this lucky guy’s bill before he comes back to us Monday we would be furever grateful 🙏🐾

😰‼️CHILLICOTHE WE NEED YOUR HELP‼️😰

3 nights in a row, these less than 1 year old cats have shown up one by one around the old Big Bear building in Central Center 😫
They have all been in HORRIBLE condition, we had to have 2 humanely euthanized due to extent of injuries and the 3rd Orange one (Bear) is currently hospitalized at Shawnee Animal Clinic and needs a blood transfusion 😭

Here’s where you come in -
1. Do you recognize these cats?
2. Are you the person dumping them? If so, WE WANT TO HELP YOU 🥺 DO YOU HAVE ANY MORE CATS (or other animals)?
❤️We are not here to judge, we just want to get any remaining animals you have the help they desperately need as soon as possible 🙏

THIS is why fostering is so important! 😻😻😻
These 3 went from scared, dirty, flea covered hissy pants who were living outdoors, to clean and cuddly little boys loving on their new foster mama in a matter of days 🥹
They are learning all about manners and the do’s and don’ts of house cat life and will be available for adoption very soon!

Due to emergency kitten intakes and cleanup from our HVAC issues, we are CLOSED today 😩
It really bothers us when we see comments saying “Cats & Company is always closed for intake” or “they never take cats” so let us shed just a little bit of light on what a day in our world looks like.

In 72 hours this week we received requests to take in over 200 cats 😰🤯😭
Of those, we took in 27 of the worst condition and most urgent situations (some are too bad to share photos of 💔)
Our VOLUNTEERS (who also work FULL TIME JOBS & have families of their own) came in and someone was on site caring for these fragile babies 24 hours a day this entire week 🥺

The medical care & surgeries these kitties are going to require will be upwards of $10,000 all of which are funds we will have to raise 😣
💰Teeth removal
💰Eye enucleations
💰Amputations
💰Emergency euthanasia
💰Wound debridement and sutures
💰Formula & special diets
💰medical supplies including: dewormer, flea shampoo & flea treatment, earmite treatment, vaccines, etc.
💰Spay/neuter when finally ready for adoption

We can’t thank Chillicothe Comfort Heating & Air enough for saving the day (and the CATS!) 😻❤️

This isn’t the first time they have come in with a 2nd opinion and it turned out they should have been our first call 📞 (740) 774-2242

After several hours with another company who left us with a near 90 degree building, panting medically fragile kittens, and saying they would be back next week to order parts for an EXPENSIVE repair, Chillicothe Comfort Heating and Air was on site within an hour for an emergency call and had us back up and running in less than 30 minutes 🤯🤯🤯

Not only that, they donated their time/labor & parts and thanked us for the rescue work we do 🥹😭❤️🙏

If you are looking for a reputable and honest local HVAC company who knows their stuff, please consider calling them first! You won’t be disappointed 🫶
