A friend of mine and a great bartender that has served veterans for over 30 years at the American Legion Post 62 has come into some health issues and may not be able to return to work. The Chillicothe Gazette reports that the Chillicothe Police Dept is looking for help in finding a suspect/suspects that attempted to break-in to 4 local pharmacy's this past week.....Tuesday and Wednesday nights the Henderson Pharmacy on Main St had 2 attempted break-ins, Walgreens on Western and the Mead Family Medical Pharmacy on Caldwell Street

Fire Chief Bruce Vaughan will be back on the job Wednesday.

Today the Civil Service Commission ruled against the firing of Vaughan by Mayor Jack Everson after a Newspaper report earlier this year discovered the fire department’s compressed air bottles were found past due for inspection earlier this year.

Vaughan instead will serve a 60-day suspension without pay.

The commission voted 2-1 to uphold the suspension. Barbara Detillion, the commission’s chair,voted to uphold the mayor’s termination of Vaughan and Jonetta Gadson and J. Troy Gray voted to overturn the suspension.
