Fishing has ALWAYS been a passion of mine and the fishing community holds some absolutely amazing people from all over the world.
I received a package today in the mail from Chris Stassi over at Twelve Oaks Custom Lures that was a complete surprise. Keep in mind I've never met this man (yet) in person due to him living in Missouri and I in Ohio. Although we've had many long discussions via text. He has even dropped a couple of my favorite colors as custom colors (Copley's Creek bluegill and Copley's Creek Baby Bass) on his website! He does custom colored hard baits and runs a small business doing it. Finding actual choppo blanks is really hard and he has been on the lookout for a while. Today I received a surprise package in the mail containing everything above.
I already recommend all his lures to everyone and even use a lot of his flatside ploppers already. Along with crank baits and jerk baits but for him to do this is an absolute testament to the man he is, and business owner.
If you are an angler and are looking to support small homegrown business then I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to his website www.twelveoakscustomlures.com and looking around. You won't be disappointed in the craftsmanship or the man you are doing business with!!

3 straight days of trying to beat the heat here in Ohio. Temps in the mid 90s and heat index of 103. Its been a grind this year with all the rain and now extreme heat. Thankfully the water has been cool and the shade plentiful. These boys are finding out this year that not every trip yields monster smallmouth like last year. We've been lucky enough to catch fish every trip though.
Going out again this evening with Three C Fishin so wish them luck!
