Is this the start of the Pacific Crest Trail???

Sure, the California Zephyr might not be the most direct, quickest, or cheapest route to get from Chicago to the southern terminus of the Pacific Crest Trail, but it is the most fun! Two full days and two half days of train goofs equals out to a good dollar to goof ratio. Regardless, the camp counselors have made it to California and are rarin' to go!

Consider this Rock starved.

With the just around the corner, some of the Camp Walk·Along gang got out to do a little hiking and a little camping outside Chicago. Starved Rock is a great spot for views, history, and of course, goofs. Don't worry - that big gulp was not theirs and did get picked up and thrown away. We're not L-ing ANY T's today, you know what I mean??

Howdy Campers! We're excited to announce that in just a little over two months, Camp Director Bison, Camp Counselors PDF, Wizard Spoon, and others will be setting out to set the FKT on the PCT...

That is to say, the FUNNEST known time on the Pacific Crest Trail. By no means will they be the fastest. Get ready for goofs, town food, and party tarps as they set out to hike from Mexico to Canada in what will surely be the best summer camp yet!

Did we mention that this will also be Bison and Wizard Spoon's Triple Crown hike? Walk along with us to see how they fare and see what they say is the prettiest thru-hike in America!

Celebrating Bison and Bookworm completing the Appalachian Trail (9!) years ago this weekend 🎊 and doing it in the best way possible - surrounded by friends from the many trails of life! Loved spending time with these beautiful camp pals and can’t wait for all the hikes to come! 🏕️
